Hi guys
need some help please.
Out on the weekend and my wife was cooking on the stove when she calls me down saying the flame went out. I just put a new can in it? I lift the canister cartridge, check can(it was full) put it back in and heard a small leak. I relit the can and boom a fire egnited. I lifted cartridge again and the was still flames under the bench top. Got the extinguisher at put out. Scary stuff.
So I have taken the stove out to repair/service but am struggling to find anyone to look at it. I'm located in Sydney Australia. I have emailed Kenyon with no reply.
Do any local guys here know anyone that can help me. I really want to put this original stove back in position in good working order.
Thanks in advance.

CALL Kenyon and ask them for a replacement electric or combo electric/alcohol with a sleeve adaptor. I had a fire in my boat due to the same stove and they replaced it. It is a poor design and dangerous. We were VERY lucky and minimal damage and I got my wife away from the fire quickly and disconnected the cylinder to put it out.
For them to have an adaptor sleeve pre-made, they know it is a problematic stove. They will tell you that you didn't grease the o-rings regularly and follow their printed instructions to remove it each time when not in use. Be persistent.
The space shuttle Challenger had bad seals/o-rings, too....

Definitely call Kenyon, their Customer Service is Second to None! I had a problem with our electric Barbecue Grill and they ended up sending me the entire Guts for free. It fixed the problem I was having!

I just sent mine to Kenyon for a rebuild. Cost 100.00 for all new parts. The seals dry out from leaving the cans installed.

Ok just got a reply. Kenyon say they will offer half price on a new alcohol stove or I buy a new seal kit for $89 plus shipping to Sydney.
What do you think?? I'm not keen on an alcohol stove

Ask them for the same discount on a combo stove.

I realise this thread is 5 years old- but wondered how you got on
I have just bought a 2005 Sundancer and the Kenyon Kiss nearly burnt the boat in its first week with us, Im now keen to rip it out and replace with something a lot more reliable

We had the same issue. The second time this happened after being fixed once before I trashed the setup and found a induction cook top that fit where the ticking time bomb was. The induction cook top heats up faster and is easier to work with.
